STEP ONE
Complete Application for Halal Accreditation Service.
Each Halal Product Submission form must be accompanied by related ingredient data sheets.
A technical ingredient and specification sheet is required for every ingredient used in the manufacturing of the product.
STEP TWO
The AHAA food technologist team assesses suitability and confirms the halal status of the product. Once it confirms, an Agreement and Halal Certification Fee will be provided to the applicant.
STEP THREE
A halal audit of the premises is conducted by AHAA halal services manager or his AHAA representative. Halal approval is granted upon compliance with all halal requirements by means of a contact between the applicant and AHAA.
If the applicant passes, the Agreement will be signed and fee payment received from the applicant.
STEP FOUR
The final stage is the issuing of the Halal Accreditation certificate which is valid for one year and subject to renewal thereafter.
*Extending certificate for the product:
The certificate may be extended in the following circumstances;
Based on any of the above situations, the decision for the extending the certificate is taken by National Halal Manager and extension letter is prepared and is issued to the customer with the reference to the certificate number.
All such extension is given for the period of three months from the expiry date of the certificate
* Reducing the scope of accreditation:
Reduction in the scope of accreditation is possible in the below circumstances;
Based on above, decision for the reduction is taken and scope of accreditation is reduced by removal of the product (as identified) and the revised certificate is sent for the approval of Technical Manager with the reason for the reduction in the scope of accreditation. Certificate is then issued to the client after approval of the Technical Manager with the date of issue.
